Kimberly R. Mascaro wears many hats. She has worked in the fields of mental/behavioral health, and education for close to 20 years, and holds a license to practice psychotherapy in the state of California. Dr. Mascaro’s primary focus is on women’s issues – in particular, trauma, anxiety, pregnancy/postpartum, spirituality, and grief/loss, as well as ADHD coaching, and recovery from substance abuse. She is known for her warm, relational approach and holistic, eclectic therapeutic style, integrating traditional talk therapies with art, dreamwork, hypnotherapy, and the soma. Dr. Mascaro also has experience serving those with neurological/neurodevelopmental conditions. She earned a PhD in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and a MS in counseling psychology from Dominican University. In addition, she is a long-time artist, with a BA in Fine Art, having received awards for her work in California. As for her research and writing, her most recent publication is Extraordinary Dreams (2018), published by McFarland. Dr. Mascaro is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and board member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD). She has served as faculty associate at Arizona State University for the past 11 years. Born and raised in Northern California, Dr. Mascaro is passionate about the ‘inner work’ and the art of personal transformation.
